From Launch to Phase 2: The Hunt So Far

As Phase 1 concludes, we’re excited to begin the transition into Phase 2. Whether you’re a veteran or a new Comrade, we want to ensure you’re ready for what’s coming. The next phase brings exciting updates, new challenges, and opportunities for all players. Here's a glimpse of what you can expect in the upcoming content expansion:

 

 

Phase 1: A New Beginning

The Hunt Begins

Phase 1 introduced players to the mystical land of Ielia, where capturing Lumins—wild, powerful creatures—became the centerpiece of gameplay. With the help of a mysterious girl, players embarked on expeditions, quests, and Lumins hunts, forming the foundation of their journey in Lumina Hunt. The core mechanics revolved around capturing Lumins by using devices, energy, and bait to increase success rates. This strategic depth set the tone for the thrilling experiences to come.

Players learned to:

• Equip capture devices suited to different Lumins.
• Choose and level up bait to improve their chances.
• Master the use of resources like energy and other items.

As players leveled up, they unlocked more powerful tools and options, expanding their capabilities to gather more valuable Lumins.

The Quest System

Quests quickly became the heartbeat of the game, offering daily, weekly, and event-based opportunities to earn resources, rewards, and progress. The constant stream of quests gave players new objectives, ensuring there was always something to work toward. The range of quests—from simple daily tasks to challenging long-term missions—encouraged players to continuously engage with the game’s systems, pushing forward to new heights.

Expeditions and Leaderboards

In addition to quests, Lumina Hunt introduced expeditions, allowing players to send their Lumins on dangerous missions across Ielia. There are two types of Expeditions:

• Vabloon Expeditions - which allows players to increase their Vabloon rewards

• Main Expeditions - which allows players to retrieve Aresteian Crowns, Essences, Arcanas, and more

These expeditions were critical in gathering resources, uncovering lootboxes, and climbing the leaderboard. The competitive leaderboard system quickly became a fan favorite, as it gave players bragging rights and the chance to win exclusive rewards.

In celebration of our first 20,000 players, we welcomed our "Comrades" by gifting them 500 Ethereal Reverie as a token of appreciation for their early commitment to the game. When we hit the 100,000-player milestone, we granted another 500 Ethereal Reverie to mark the occasion. It was thrilling to witness the growing excitement and camaraderie within our community as it expanded!

Continuous Improvements and Fixes

From the moment Lumina Hunt launched, the development team was committed to refining the gameplay experience. With each patch, we addressed player feedback, squashed bugs, and introduced optimizations. Some highlights from Phase 1 patches include:

• Cash Shop Update: Added new items and retroactively awarded Ethereal Reverie to accounts.
• Referral Stash Buff: Balanced the referral system to allow players to earn rewards more fairly, even without connections.
• Level Cap Increase: Raised the level cap to 200, providing even more progression opportunities for players.
• Energy Balancing: Adjusted the energy restore rate to allow players to stay engaged without long waiting periods.

Bug fixes included resolving issues with the Season Pass levels, expedition bugs, quest errors, improving UI elements, and ensuring fair play by identifying and blacklisting players exploiting the system. To compensate for early issues, we provided players with a special x5 Vabloon Expedition Multiplier (available until they reach 1 million Vabloons) to help everyone affected by the bumpy start.

Phase 2: A New Season, A New Journey

Leaderboard Reset and Snapshotting

The Vabloon Leaderboard, a central pillar of competition, will reset for the new season. This is a chance for all players to prove their skills and aim for the top ranks once more. However, fear not—your progress isn’t lost. We’re snapshotting the leaderboard before the reset, preserving your hard-earned positions from Phase 1. Players will be able to check their rankings from previous seasons as they continue their hunt for Lumins and Vabloons in this new phase. Stay tuned to our future announcements for when we will release the results of Phase 1 leaderboard!

Referral Stash Reset and Balancing

With the new season comes a reset and rebalancing of the Referral Stash. The system has been fine-tuned to ensure that it remains fair and rewarding. Though the stash will reset, your existing relationships between referrers and referees remain intact, so you can continue climbing with the people you’ve already invited to the game. 

Game Balancing

Important aspects of Lumina Hunt will be readjusted to ensure that players will gain more rewards the more they play the game, including: 

• Referral Stash Level-Up Rewards - Levelling up your referral stash grants you increasing amounts of rewards per level. These increments will happen at stash levels 1, 6, 11, 101, and 501 respectively.
• Skill Tree Reset - The skill tree for capture devices and baits will be reset back to 0. All earned skill points will be refunded back to players and they will be able to redistribute these across the new skill tree as they please.
• Capture Devices and Catch Rates - Lower-level capture devices will have smaller catch rate bonuses, but the higher-level ones will have a significantly higher range of catch rate bonuses.
• Skill Point Cost to Unlock and Upgrade Capture Devices - The cost of Skill Points will be rebalanced to reflect the improved upgrades. Higher skill points will be required to unlock higher-level capture devices, as well as upgrade Capture Devices.

New Season Pass and Special Rewards

A new Twilight Trials Season Pass is coming, packed with fresh rewards and limited-time bonuses. Players will have access to the Twilight Arcana, Twilight Lumins, Twilight Traps, and Twilight Baits—all of which are available only during this special phase. The Season Pass also introduces exciting quests and missions, giving players even more ways to engage and earn valuable resources.

New Features in Phase 2

Phase 2 also brings several exciting new features:

• Player Profile Customization: Players will now have the ability to change their nickname (NEW), with future plans to allow profile picture changes (PLANNED). This will give hunters more control over their in-game identities and let them showcase their progress in new ways.
• Limited-Time Expeditions: Exclusive expeditions will be introduced, offering players a chance to win rare and powerful items.
• New Lumin Species - Twilight: A new species of Lumins, Twilight, will be introduced, adding even more value to the hunt. 
• Liveops and New Lumins: Alongside the new phase, new Liveops events and brand-new Lumins will be released, giving players fresh challenges and rewards to aim for.
• New Capture Devices and Baits: More capture devices and baits will be added to the shop, giving players more strategic options for capturing the powerful Lumins.
• New Shop Tab and Currency: A new tab will be introduced in the shop alongside a new currency. Additionally, there will be special listings with unique items available for a limited time (pending confirmation).
• Premium Currency Addition: A new form of premium currency will be introduced, Celestial Reverie (CR), which will become the Standard Premium Currency for Lumina Hunt.
  • On the other hand, Ethereal Reverie (ER) will be the new Paid Premium Currency, which can only be bought directly with Telegram STARS.
  • It can be used to purchase special bundles exclusive to Phase 2. Any remaining ER from the previous phase will be retained by players and converted directly to the new ER premium currency.

Celestial Reverie (CR)

Ethereal Reverie (ER)

• Celestial Reverie will become the standard premium currency whereas Ethereal Reverie will become the paid premium currency. 
  • This currency update provides more opportunities to advance player progress through stash levels via multiple means other than referrals. It will also better balance the gameplay experience whereby Celestial Reverie can be rewarded from different game activities.
  • Players who purchased Ethereal Reverie with Telegram STARS will be refunded the same amount of ER that they bought, even if the ER currency has already been spent.
  • On the other hand, players who earned Ethereal Reverie via game activities/rewards will have their ER converted to Celestial Reverie.
  • After this patch, Ethereal Reverie (ER) can only be bought directly with Telegram STARS.

Expedition Enhancements & New Challenges

The expedition system has been further refined, offering even more exciting and valuable rewards. Additionally, the leaderboard system will remain a major focus, giving competitive players the motivation to dominate the new phase. With the introduction of Twilight Expeditions, players will have new opportunities to send their Lumins on even more challenging missions, earning unique rewards in return.
